Cardinals Rookie RB T.J. Logan Out 12 Weeks Following Wrist Surgery

It’s bad news for Cardinals rookie running back T.J. Logan who suffered an injury during Thursday night’s loss to the Cowboys in the Hall of Fame Game.

Logan has put together an impressive training camp up to this point, so this is obviously disappointing news for all parties involved.

Logan, 22, was selected with the No. 179 overall pick of the fifth round by the Cardinals. He signed a four-year, $2.6 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $465,000 and $555,000 over the first two years of the contract.

During his college career at UNC, Logan rushed for 2,165 yards on 398 carries (5.4 YPC) to go along with 76 receptions for 663 yards receiving and 23 total touchdowns over the course of 49 games. He also contributed 2,098 kick return yards and five touchdowns.

While not a death blow to Logan’s season, this is still a major setback for the fifth-round rookie who was primed to handle kick-return duties right off the bat.
