Joe Haden agreed to a three-year $27 million deal with the Steelers

A few Hours after he was released by the Browns this past Wednesday, Joe Haden agreed to a three-year, $27 million deal with the Steelers with a guaranteed to make $7 million in the first year of his new contract à which was the same amount Cleveland was seeking to pay him before letting him go.

The Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts were were interested in signing Haden before the Steelers ended his brief free-agency period.

Haden reached the Pro Bowl in 2013 and 2014.

Haden has played in just 18 games since 2014, with three interceptions and 13 pass breakups in those two years. He’s one of only two NFL players with more than 100 pass breakups since 2010 & in 13 games  played in he recorded a 78.6 passing rating.

His first game with the Steelers will be in Cleveland on Sept. 10.
