Martavis Bryant’s reinstatement could be days away

Pittsburgh Steelers wideout Martavis Bryant could be getting good news on his potential reinstatement soon.

The twice-suspended receiver is simply “waiting for the doctors and the counselors, people who saw him, to hand in their letters, get the paperwork cleared with the NFL, have the league process that, and then make him officially conditionally reinstated.”

Official word could come down in the “next couple of days”

Bryant missed the entire 2016 season due to a violation of the league’s policy on substances of abuse. He was conditionally reinstated back in late April.

This is not the end of the process for the former fourth-round pick out of Clemson. Part of the hold up on Bryant was the setting up of counseling sessions, which have now been taken care of. He must continue those throughout the process to maintain his reinstatement.

Having the process be out of Bryant’s hands means  one step closer to being behind Bryant altogether. The Steelers have been looking forward to his return for more than a full calendar year, eyeing a much-needed boost to their receiving corps behind Antonio Brown.
