The Vikings signed defensive tackle Linval Joseph to a four-year, $50 million extension. Joseph gets $31.5 million guaranteed.
The 28-year-old is the latest Vikings defender to get paid, after the team gave Everson Griffen and Xavier Rhodes big-money extensions last month.
Joseph signed a five-year $31.5 million contract with Minnesota in 2014 after four years with the New York Giants.
He marks the third defensive player that the Vikings have recently signed to an extension.
The Vikings will play their first preseason game on Thursday when they head on the road to take on the Buffalo Bills.
Minnesota will open up its regular season on Monday, Sept. 11, when it hosts the New Orleans Saints.
