Chiefs re-signed back and placed corner Steven Nelson on injured reserve because of a surgery back in Aug. 29.
Spiller completed 46 yards & 11 rush attempts this preseason. He will be looking to deliver depth behind behind starter Kareem Hunt and Charcandrick West. .
Losing Nelson for half the season is a disappointment and especially with kick off game this next Thursday.
